It was owned by an elderly couple who were the second owners and was part of their six Jaguar collection.
In totally original condition and with a very low mileage it performed faultlessly.

Hi there,

It’s a terrible photo but not bad considering I’d just stepped off a tube and managed to get my phone out just in time. Superb to see a Lagonda Taraf in the morning rush hour in West London today. They only made about 120 of these and never officially sold them in the UK which makes it a very rare sight. Wish I’d caught it from the front as well.

Regards

Tim

There was one I used to see around Pall Mall/Mayfair a lot, a gold one. Never got a shot of it though.

I saw one of those Porsche 911 Dakar's this morning in the bluey silver colour with roof rack (which was empty) I think they're quite cool, but wouldn't want to be seen driving one.

That is a fantastically good looking car, but the interior is generic Aston at the front and rather snug in the back (and looks like it follows the design theme of a Moscow strip club). You'd expect a bit of bespoke design for $1m

Hi,

Not sure. I have seen three in the UK so far.
The one in my pic above, another one that lives just near Victoria Station and then a third one which was being sold at the Goodwood FOS last year.

No idea why they made those so exclusive, maybe manufacturing capacity?

Someone will correct me, but I believe one punter pretty much bankrolled the project.

It was all based on the VH platform though wasn't it-if it was mass marketed it wouldn't have been $1M I guess...

This. It's one of the reasons it was a Lagonda, not an Aston Martin. They thought this would launch a bespoke programme.

They already made the Rapide four door for the 'mass market'.
