Is that a crack in the canard?
No- just a seam full of dirt. In any case, at some point wear stuff happens if you use the car.
My Taycan Cross Turismo with off road pack collects dirt and stones in a similar fashion. You have to jet car off before washing.

In other news, another picture.

A sunny/sweaty morning spent giving the 996 a once over. Paint is pretty battered close up, but still looks mega when clean.

But the plastic is split open, there is a visible gap - not that it matters, great to see it not being a garage queen, but I'd wager that is definitely a crack

If there was a museum dedicated to B+B cars I'd visit it. I had a St Michaels book when I was a kid that delved into all these cars, Koenigs, Rinspeeds, DP etc. I bloody loved that book as a kid but B+B, they were the 80s personified for me.
