If you like wood... Price is a little on the high side, but the layout is cool

I think I like it, but I also think that is one of those places you'd really need to see in person.https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/149014289
...and what I mean by seeing it in person is that generally I can look at photos of a place and instinctively tell whether or I like it.
With this place, the photos give me an impression of too much wood going on and yet, I suspect it might feel different when you're actually inside.

I'd need some more protection on the Gin Staircase.Bit open on one side.
Not as grand as many in the thread, and in need of a bit of internal modernisation, this would do us just fine. Not too remote and in a lovely area

I like that. TBF i wouldn't touch it and see what bills rolled in uninvited. It is pretty remote and wild up there. Also next to a working farm. Even if you're OK with the noise and smells, the wrong sort of farmer could make life misery.https://search.savills.com/property-detail/gbyoruy...

On paper the mansion should be amazing but whilst it ticks a lot of boxes it just leaves me cold.
