It likely will be expensive, but it really shouldn't be expensive. It should be the going rate as all other new AAA console games in the £50 bracket.
Plenty of games in the 80-100 bracket at launch, even things like Star Wars Jedi etc so I have no illusions that this will be any different. Let's face it, I will get 50 hours out of it at least I would wager just on the offline game so it is value for money and they know it.I would be shocked if it is less than £100 and utterly amazed if it was £50 because they know they can price it higher and people will still buy. I am willing to bet that the pre-sales of this game will be amongst the highest ever.
Keep in mind that it isn't the purchase price of the game that has made rockstar rich(er), its the continual sale of in game money. Thats whats given the game its longevity and made huge amounts of money. Purchase price is neither here nor there, £70-80 like some premium games I can see, because its pretty much the norm. The real concern is if they cripple the game to forcing more microtransactions.
If they are smart they'll cotinue that aspect pretty much as 5 is as its been wildly successful. Unfortunately quite possible they'll get greedy and upset the balance.

Heard the news today that this is due for Autumn time 2025. So just over a year really.
I'd happily pay £100 for GTA6, personally. I know the play time and the size of it will be worth its hourly rate.
My only hope is they keep up with the single player DLC/Updates as they do with the Online side of things!

Unfortunately, based on what we're seeing with a lot of titles now where the "Base" game is coming in at say £60-70 but not including a large portion of content such as missions, equipment etc that should all be part of the base game.
I'll happily pay more for GTA6 as I know I'll get my moneys worth out of it over a long time, I absolutely wouldn't ever subscribe to a game though.
I haven't paid full price for a game in years! I was a little surprised to see what they cost these days. In my head they're still £30 ha ha.
I had a quick look on Game's website, £70 seems to be the most expensive 'standard' pre-order for Flight Sim 2024, then it's £62 for Star Wars Outlaws.
I'm sure there will be a few options to pay a really silly amount of Money for GTA6, I may have even paid £120 in 2008 for a Special Edition version of GTA4 that came in a metal box.
I'll pay £100 for the standard game whilst mumbling under my breath about profiteering... I don't know what I'll do if it's more than that, on one hand it's a total piss take, on the other, it's months of entertainment.
I've already considering upgrading from my Series S to an X just for GTAV, not to mention a new 4K TV, not because I don't already have one, but because I want to move the Xbox into the spare room so the Mrs can watch Love Bulls
t or whatever when I'm playing.

I've been playing VC stories on and off for a while on my PSP but BIL got my old PS2 out of the loft a few months ago so I purchased a copy of GTA VC for the PS2 from CEX £6 for the platinum edition, my memory card still works but my GTA VC save wont work for some reason , possibly my version wasn't a platinum version before? So I have restarted it, happy to say I passed the RC helicopter mission on 2nd go, seem to remember that took me about 40 attempts when I was 15.
Bringing back all the memories with the radio stations etc, I could of downloaded the newer remastered version but I heard they cut a load of the music from it.

A while ago VC was free on PS+ for the PS5. Played through it twice. The music is still great. Bringing back all the memories with the radio stations etc, I could of downloaded the newer remastered version but I heard they cut a load of the music from it.

I agree that the RC mission is much easier than I remember.

I can live with cutting of songs, but as far as I've been able to find out they haven't put any new ones in to replace them which is just not right especially with the amount of money Take-Two make. Edited by the-norseman on Wednesday 3rd July 01:00
GTA: VC is my favourite of all the games, recently had to get a new PC and I'm excited to start over in Vice City all over again
