Enjoyed Pearl Jam in Manchester last night.

I’m not a massively regular gig-goer, but the venue’s sound seemed a bit off, but we still had a great time.

The free tram from Piccadilly worked well, as did the shuttle buses back in to town afterwards, although I’m not sure if that’s finishing come July. Really smooth getting in and out of the venue in terms of queuing/security etc.

Mike McCready is a genius.

I was also at pearl jam last night, thought it was awesome! first time seeing PJ live and it didn’t disappoint. Vedder mentioned he was struggling a bit with a cold/ vocals, but still thought he sounded great. Set list was really good, ticked enough songs I wanted to hear, but missed enough that I really want to see them again

I thought the sound wasn’t amazing/ perfect, but the people I was with said they thought it sounded great?!? the venue was pretty good too, as you say having 20 shuttle busses there waiting to ship people back to town after 5/10min wait, was perfect.

probably a bit of both, but with ticket sales not doing too good it was probably the best gig to scrap! I’ve 2 friends who were supposed to be going to the gig, one travelling from inverness and the other edinburgh.

It didn’t realise how poor the sales for london had been, but saw somewhere that the stage was potentially going to be about the halfway line, and only using half the stadium/ pitch! probably not quite the stadium gig they were expecting

EV said it was just a cold.

Pearl Jam at Coop Live on Tuesday. Good gig, not great. Not worth the cost, but it's ticked off the list now.

I see Paloma Faith has cancelled her Summer Sessions gig in Southampton tonight as well. AIR last night were absolutely brilliant with top notch audio & visuals imho.

On the strength of his Glastonbury performance today I’ve just got 2 tickets to see Paul Heaton in Leeds in November. Really enjoyed some serious nostalgia from his set. Shame Jacqui Abbott wasn’t there but Rianne Downey did a pretty good job.

We did Llandudno Venue Cymru with just 1,500 others last December. Him and Jacqui Abbott and they were brilliant. Great value ticket prices too, so we might try Wolverhampton in December.

Missed most of the Foo's at Brum because of the dire food/drink situation.

We were pitch standing, got told by a steward to climb over the pitch side advertising board and go into the bar area in the Doug Ellis stand, very small queue but still took 25+ minutes to get served, just after we had been served an older steward gave the bar man a mouthful for serving us and then proceeded to tell us we were in the wrong bar as we had purple (standing) tickets and not seated tickets, I said where should we be then and his reply was "open your eyes" so after a few words I walked away and then decided I'm not having this and went back for more, demanded his name/badge number to which he basically rammed his badge in my face. I then walked away and in the corner of my eye saw him marching after me, I thought oh here we go, followed by a massive apology from him, shuck hand's and off we went.

So for the second round of drinks we went into the correct bar in the Holte end, got in a fairly big queue to realise quickly that we were supposed to order drinks at a machine and then get a ticket, so we did that, followed by approx 1 hour queue to get drinks/food and to find out they had run out of beer when we got to the front. None of the bar staff seemed to know how to pour drinks, for a football ground that has big crowds weekly it was p155 poor.

Think out of a 27 song set list, we saw about 10-12.

The band were excellent, I'm not a massive fan but glad I saw them, missed them cover Paranoid.

Stadium gigs are not ideal if you want to drink and not miss songs. Meticulous planning is necessary. Get a few in beforehand, pay a visit then get your spot.

Cardiff principality stadium for the Foo's was similar story on the drink side. We only got a couple in, as it took so long to get served. Also v expensive. I was surprised at how inefficient the drink service was actually, considering it's not exactly their first rodeo.

Wonder if it's deliberate to reduce the amount of pissed people who need looking after/kicking out ?

Trouble with masive stadium/festival crowds is you get loads of people who don't normally go to gigs who then over react to everything because it's one of there few big nights out per year and they want everything to be perfect.

Club gigs people seem used to being squashed up , drinks getting spilt because of that .
