I've ordered a P1S with AMS to replace my Ender 2 thats been used for years, anyone have any QOL upgrade suggestions for the P1S?
Nope, just set it up and print.

I would suggest doing the usual filament config/calibration stuff for anything that isn't PLA but you should be used to that from an ender.

censored me! Just fired the printer up after it got delivered today, and with generic pla I had in stock, and using the bench file that came preloaded on the machine, it spat it out in 17 minutes, straight out of the box! I have no idea what the settings were that were used to produce the file, but I suspect that the speed was close to 300mm/s.

Colour me very impressed!

If that is their pre-set demo then you would hope they put a lot of time and effort to get it perfect BUT that is very good going.

If only every print could be like that 100% of the time

I've had my P1S around a couple of weeks and I've done 8 prints so far in PLA and PTEG, all without really knowing what I'm doing other than loading a model and pressing print. 6 of those prints were models I made myself so I'm so relieved those worked because I don't want to be totally reliant on off-the-shelf stuff.

The only problem I've had was with my model, not the printer. I mashed a couple of models together in Blender but check the slice and it printed a hollow space where the two objects intersected. I just reprinted one of them stuck it into the gap, the shored it up with a bit of tape - sorted. biggrin

I'm still a bit nervous of the inevitable day it ends up like the videos I've seen of borked prints because I'll have no idea what to do, but so far I am relieved how easy it has been.

Does anybody fancy a simple commission?

I'm after an adapter that will connect my mini pump to my big agnes inflatable sleeping mat.

Here's a link to a similar adapter: https://www.printables.com/model/274359-flextailge...

The thing is I don't have that precise pump. I have this one, which as you can see comes with a series of 'standard' adaptors: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C5HDTWGQ?ref=ppx_yo2...

Knowing nothing about 3d printing (and therefore the file linked above), is it possible to amend the above design to either fit a standard pump adaptor or alternatively my pump please?

Happy to pay/charity donation etc.
