I attended the Suffolk Show yesterday.
The Ipswich Town marquee was rammed with people. Exciting times!
Fond memories of the show. It's the West Country show for me now, sadly not so exciting. The Ipswich Town marquee was rammed with people. Exciting times!
As for Super Kieran McKenna - interesting to note the video interview with him and Ashton on TownTV has the time stamp of the 28th May, so seems it was signed and sealed a few days ago. I like to think they delayed the announcement to gazump those up the road announcing their new manager.

Let's hope Arne Slot is a fraud ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
Easy second away game.
Run in looks easy too, should give us good shot at CL places if we need a few more points come the end of the season.
On the basis you have to play everyone anyway, first game of the season is probably the best time to play Liverpool. New manager, and a reduced pre-season with so many players involved in the Euros/COPA (and maybe the Olympics? Can't say I've followed that too closely) meaning their players may not be up to speed... with his plans and way of thinking. ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)

Obviously, we'll be massive underdogs, but I'd much rather face them first in that scenario than on the last day of the season needing a result (to secure our third consecutive 2nd place finish, obviously).

The season looks so ridiculously hard, but just need to enjoy it don't we. Expectations are pretty low for me, hope for a few upsets and would like to see us continue to 'have a go' at teams.
Officially official... Starboy is back - https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/2024/june/30/omari-is-...
Smashing the transfer record - that's been held since before he was born!

Massive massive signing for us.
Lad was really hitting his groove in that last part of the season, getting into a real groove and believing in himself every game.
Do wonder longer term, if he'll be come the 10 and we'll find someone else to challenge Burns on the right.
Get Johnson over the line today and that's some seriously good early business done.
Philogene looks way off (Barca interested) but would make that left side a serious upgrade.
Rodon subject to a verbal offer, better (only slightly, but tight margins make big differences) than Woolfy, who I think could step up still.
Need someone with Hirst though don't we?

Johnson done, no idea if he's any good mind. Goal keeper on his way so I assume a replacement is in the pipeline..
Edit -mate who is an Iron rates Johnson, reckoned he's a good prospect.

I've been told (friend of a friend with some apparent secret sauce) that we were signing Carl Rushworth irrespective of whether Vas stayed or not. Absolutely no idea how reliable.
Also that Fotis Ioannidis stilll very much on the wanted list but Panithinaikos happy to sit tight and hope more offers come in.
