I recently had to pay for a new bathroom fan that runs at a certain percentage all the time because they cannot manage to open a window when they shower. I bet they have already disabled it because "it's too noisy"
They'll cover it in masking tape, then complain that a)its causing damp and b) its making a funny noise and c) costing them £80 a day in leccy.

What's with council types driving round with a Tentbox on the roof of their cars all the time? Is it a fashion thing or what, because they all look like they've never been used.
Can't store a tentbox in an upstairs flat.

Some of them have got very cheap, I suspect they like the idea of it, but then don’t have the rescource / storage space to remove it

I’ve never grasped the idea of them, limited flexibility, and you can move once set up.

I did think about mounting one on top of a trailer, but even that is a pain if you want to get into the trailer

Only time I could see it being useful is when me and a mate aged 18 drove to Spain over a week or two and were never in the same spot for more than 8 hours or so (and did t have all the worries and baggage of being an adult)

One of my neighbours does this & I wondered the same. I've now realised that his house (semi) has been extended to the boundary and as such there's no access to the garden, other than via the front door... through which the Tentbox won't fit... biggrin

True council is also white Range Rover sport or X5 etc. Remember, council is not being poor it’s the lack of giving a toss about those around you.
I agree

I'd put
Ranger Rovers
Audi A4,A5,A6
Mercedes A/C class
BMW 1,2,3 series

Usually combined with Turkey teeth, Stone Island jumpers, 4D number plates, lion hand tattoos, vapes. The list goes on.

Oh! I’m feeling quite the chavy council bloke right now.
I’ve got;
Range Rover, Autobiography.
BMW, M4 Competition.

I’m currently in the process of buying a 2007 Bentley Azure 6.8 Mulliner Full spec. Are they also deemed to be council? I can buy an XL Bully if it helps.

Unless you're planning to fit moon discs and leopard skin seat covers not really. It seems unlikely to ever enter the "pub landlord's motor" zone.

I've just been past a couple of schools on the way home, I'd say one in every four or five cars had a Tentbox, or some sort of alternative. All with varying degrees of moss and algae from being unused.

Are they the automotive equivalent of a Dry Robe?

The areas concerned are more like enclosed courtyards for the flats over the shops and when I was a kid those areas were where the resident families hung up their washing lines. (Pre tumble driers).
I think you mean "pre- hanging your wet washing on radiators inside with the windows closed then complaining of mould"
Yeah, a lot of that probably went on back then, But I do remember the washing lines.

Assuming all the Vectras, Mk 4 Golfs, Zafiras etc are mostly dead.
You know, this one is so true. A shame, as I was always quite fond of them. Sadly, they're only driven by tools nowadays. Our local drug dealer with his oversized dog drives one. Complete with M grill colours, mismatched alloys and tints all round including the lights.
As someone with an 18 year old 1 series, this is a bit disappointing, if not surprising. I’ll just have to hope it goes through the painful council period and comes out the other side as retro cool or something biglaugh

Having your extension tight to the boundary, making everything have to go through the house to get to back garden=council.

Asking neighbours if your sexpond can go down their drive and over the fence to get it into position= double council.

Did see a Sprinter type hippy van with one of these boxes mounted sideways on roof bars. Not so good for fuel economy but I'd check bridge clearances very carefully.

There's no sex pond (far as I know) but there is a trampoline.

And we're in Essex.
