That's an unreal collection.

Does anyone have an idea of her background at all and how she came to amass them all?

A splendid video, wonderful group of machines, and a fabulous curator of them too - could have watched another hour quite happily.

I did feel Jonny was a bit unexpectedly ham-fisted with the "you're a woman who's *actually* into cars, neat!" bit, although it was mercifully brief. Seemed an ever so slightly awkward moment between them, as I daresay she's fed up of fielding such comments after a lifetime of enjoying her passion.

Probably because more men than women are interested in cars. Just imagine a series on needlework where Doug the hairy bricklayer has a huge collection of embroidered handkerchiefs and the interviewer says “ you’re a man who’s into crochet. Neat”.
Would you feel the need to mention that? rofl

I'm aware of why he said it. I didn't say I didn't understand the reasons behind it. But yes, it would seem equally ham-fisted and pointless as a comment then too. Maybe it's just me. smile I imagine Doug would be equally bored of such comments too.

a more interesting thing is not simply to note that a woman who likes cars is, well, a woman, but rather to ask what their experience of being part of such a male-dominated pastime and/or community has been like. what's good, what's bad, etc. I'd be interested to hear that.

personally I think it's a bit boring that it's all men all the time, especially since generally I prefer speaking to women than I do men. The conversations are more interesting.

I've not seen the video yet but felt a need to comment on the point above about women liking cars.

I've known several but they are rare so I don't think it's unreasonable to comment on it. Johnny is awkward at the best of times, that's part of him so although I've not seen that bit, I'm not sure I would have noticed.

Some women appreciate cars, I even know one that likes steam trains.

It is unusual to see a lady with that level of passion for cars, it is also fantastic and once past that minor point its just business as usual, she was brilliant and what a collection.

I didn't even notice it. But I did laugh when the dealer told her the Jag was a 6.0 V12... "after the orgasm".
hehe

Great video.

What a lovely lady, a nice relaxed "interview" and a sensational garage. And, most importantly those cars are DRIVEN.

I'll echo the comment above to say that I could happily watch another two hours of this.

A mate has a wife who not only likes beer, she likes cars. She’s just bought herself a Ferrari California. Her other car is an AMG SLK 55.

A really eclectic collection there, super rare, super cool, quirky, odd, all sorts!
I really liked the Jag XJ220 and the couple of beautiful classic Toyota coupes.

What an amazing episode very enjoyable especially to see Tim’s enjoyment at being back in an Rs500 first time since 1989 and the rapport between them.

The last 2 have been great. Loved the car cave and the range of cars she had. And a big thumbup for Tiff being Tiff at 72!

Really enjoyed the Tiff/RS500 episode, brilliant! He got his 79 and 89 muddled up but hey, still great!
