Anyone watched this? I think it's on Apple TV in the UK.

Show about a chef from a Michelin starred restaurant who comes home to Chicago to take over his dead brothers sandwich shop and, eventually, turn it into a restaurant.

It's a slow burn but absolutely brilliant. Season 2 is terrific and it's been renewed for season 3. It won 6 Emmy's last year and was nominated for / won dozens of other awards. We've been binging it and really enjoyed it. The episode "Fishes" in season 2 centers around a family dinner 5 years before and both explains a lot and is uproariously funny. Scene stealing cameo from Jamie Lee Curtis.

A friend said it was brilliant.

I gave up after the first episode as I found the dialogue a combination of inaudible and incomprehensible.

Maybe I should have persevered - friend in question has excellent taste when it comes to TV.

It is brilliant. The first episode is hard going as it starts to introduce the characters and the general chaos of the restaurant but trust me, it gets far,far better. It’s on Disney+ in the UK.

Another vote for brilliant! It's hard going sometimes, but worth it.

I nearly gave up after the 1st episode due to all the shouty chaos but it’s definitely worth sticking with as it just gets better & better.

Watched the first season, couldn't get on with it, found some of the characters to be really annoying, story didn't really go anywhere and the extreme facial close ups really got on my nerves.

Each to their own.

I thought it was brilliant, breathtaking and incredibly stressful, especially the Christmas special in S2.

Turning chaos into order, the second series really develops the characters.

I’m really looking forward to the next series.

Season 2s episode Forks is one of absolute favourite pieces of TV. I have watched it multiple times.

The Bear is a brilliant show and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

The Bear is absolutely brilliant TV.

The writing is as tight as it comes, the characters are superb and you really can move from hating them to loving them really rapidly. The previous poster who said "Forks" was their favourite episode is spot on in my opinion. Absolutely brilliant. I had never like "Cousin" but by the end of it I decided that he was my favourite character. Brilliantly acted, scripted and shot.

The Bear is an absolute gem of a show.

Huge growth arc - quite hard watching them arguing through the fridge door at the end of Se02!

I ran out of steam with S2 with the family dinner shouting episode.

It was too 'actory' for me.

I'll give the rest a whirl soon.

Then I deeply resent the creators for making me work for it.

You’re definitely not going to like season 3 episode 1 then…
