All my Previous cars in order:

1981 Austin Metro 1.0L
My first car bought for £230. Originally bright orange but Dad resprayed it blue. She was always breaking down but was still my 1st love.

1985 Opel Corsa GT (Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR)
Felt quick after the Metro and must have looked as if I'd ram-raided Halfords.

1993 Citroen ZX 1.9 Volcane TurboD
Bought wile at uni and it was one of the best cars I've ever owned - Seriously - It was ace.

1998 VW Passat 1.9 TDI
German Tank with 145k miles when I sold it.

1996 Citroen Xantia 1.9 VSX diesel
French pile of junk that didn't like to start. Luckily only a short term run around.

2001 Audi A6 Quattro Avant
Nice comfortable cruiser, 150k miles in 4 years without any trouble.

1995 Vauxhall Chavalier
Run around for a week or so. Was very nasty but served its purpose.

1972 1.3 Triumph Spitfire. (Weekend toy)
Bought as restoration project, ended up pristine. All work done by my own fair hands.

2002 Audi TT 225 Quattro
Hairdressers wheels, limited visibility but she looked nice.

1973 1.3 Triumph Spitfire. (Weekend toy)
Excellent condition but still too many rattles. My last Triumph?

1987 TVR 350i (Weekend toy)
I upgraded the engine to a 4.5 litre JE Engineering masterpiece which was fitted in the blue Wedge I bought below. F'ing Quick after engine transplant. Raw power with an old school V8 thrum.

1989 TVR 350i
Bought for parts and that cracking 4.5 litre JE lump under the bonnet.

2003 BMW 330ci Clubsport
Was good for an every-dayer and cheaper to run than an M3.

1990 TVR 400se (Weekend toy)
One of the very best in the country. I really miss this car and regret parting with her. She was raw and sounded beautiful.

2003 BMW X5 4.6is sport
It rocked but made me look like a drug dealer frown

1997 TVR Chimaera 500 Taraka. (Weekend toy)
It was great but I didn't "gel" with it. So much power from its modified 5 litre engine. Perhaps the fastest car I've ever owned other than the M600?

2004 BMW 535D Msport
Remapped to give 500ft/lb torque. A very quick family car.

2001 TVR Tamora in pearl yellow (weekend toy)
Nice bit of kit, albeit a little camp. Always catching the road, speedhumps etc with the front end.

2005 Volvo S60 D5 SE
Was excellent for a cheap short term run around. Great build quaility.

2005 TVR Sagaris in Cascade Indigo (weekend toy)
Owned for 2 years. A beautiful car that was very difficult to drive sedately and always felt like the grim reaper was sitting in the passenger seat. Featured in EVO magazine July 2010.

2005 Audi A6 3.0 Tdi Quattro S-line
A lovely car. Great in the snow, liked a drink though.

2004 BMW 535D Msport number 2
As the first one was such a good car, I got another! This one was remapped and derestricted - so much torque!

2007 Lexus RX 400h SE-L - About as good looking as a turd rolled in glitter but so relaxing getting from A2B without any drama.

2007 Audi A6 3.0 V6 Tdi Le Mans Avant Quattro
My 3rd A6 and a great all rounder. A replacement for the Lexus due to rising fuel costs but in all fairness no better. Very comfy and good looking car that surprisingly got a lot of attention.

2002 Ferrari 360 Spider (weekend toy)
Replacement for the TVR Sagaris. Build quality was a vast improvement and she sounded beautiful with the Capritso exhaust but attracted too much negative attention (two fingered salutes, passers by shouting obscenities and spitting at you etc). Great car but too much grief to live with frown

2007 BMW 335D MSport Touring
I got a genuine 40mpg which was very good for a 3.0 twin turbo'd monster that went like the clappers.

2008 Lexus RX 400h SE
My second one of these. Its not a pretty car but its much better in black and does the everyday thing perfectly. Very quiet, relaxing and comfortable. I really miss her but 30 mpg not great.

2008 Golf 1.9 Tdi Bluemotion
Originally only a short term run around but I loved it so kept onto it far longer than originally planned. Not the most exciting car I've owned but was by far the most economical. 72mpg and over 750 miles out of a tank of diesel!

2010 VW Passat CC GT 170 Tdi DSG
Great luxury car that didn't match the badge on the front. For some bizarre reason, I found the Golf Bluemotion more fun to drive so sold the Passat after only a couple of months ownership.

2008 Audi R8 4.2 V8 (weekend toy)
WOW! Blown away. Simply awesome. Went like the clappers, great handling, all mod cons, no abuse like the Ferrari. Sold due to fear of heavy depreciation.

2009 Volvo XC60 2.4 DRIVe SE Lux
It was OK. Very comfortable, mid 40's mpg. Good family car but a bit dull. Still preferred my old Lexus RX's ...

2009 Mercedes E350 CDi Sport Coupe
What a great all rounder for an every-dayer. Comfortable, relaxing, fast enough, economical, packed full of toys. Great daily beater. Another young child in the fold forced a very reluctant sale.

2008 BMW X5 35XDrive (3.0 Twin turbo diesel)
Loved it. Responsive, enough room for the kids & packed full of toys. 28mpg thurst and very firm ride from Msport suspension and 20" runflats were a bit of a let down though. Sold it to free up some cash for the next "toy" below :-)

1995 Lamborghini Diablo VT (weekend toy)
I loved it! Proper old school motoring. Big, brash and hugely impractical. Felt like a big grown up TVR. Took me a year to track down but the wait was well worth it. Very heavy and difficult to drive due to the width, but what a beast! Not as "nice" to drive as other toys I've owned but even just sitting in her was an event. Sold Jan 2015 to make way for something more usable.

2009 Lexus RX 400h Limited Edition Executive
Yes - the third one! Not very exciting but very easy to drive, relaxing & a great family car.

2010 Mercedes SLS AMG (weekend toy)
The AMG 6.2L engine was a beast and the gullwing doors added to the occasion. She was an early 2010 model but only 5k miles so as new. In the end I decided the drive and noise was too similar to a much cheaper C63. Next...

2010 Lexus RX 450h
Yes - another one. Top spec SE-L with just about every option known to man. Duller than dishwater to drive - the old model was a better car.

2014 Mercedes A45 AMG
What a car! So much fun. Just like a go-kart. Fully loaded, pops and crackles on the overrun. I was like a big kid all over again. Sold due to fear of it being pinched.

2011 Noble M600 (weekend toy)
Without doubt the fastest far I've owned. Sh*t off a shovel, fun to drive, turbo whooshing noises to die for, rare etc. I soon discovered it was the ex factory press car that had been ragged by all the motoring journalists and without thinking properly I chucked my toys out the pram and swiftly returned it to the factory for a refund frown The experience dealing with the factory was first class - customer service at its very best yes I regretted sending it back immensely.

2014 Audi SQ5
Another Chelsea Tractor. Love it. A lot more civilised than the A45 and nearly as much fun. So much torque and reasonable economy.

2011 Morgan Aero Supersports (weekend toy)
What did I do? Bought on looks and that intoxicating soundtrack coming out the side pipes. Nearly as much fun to drive as having syphilis. Sold after just 1 month of ownership. Not for me.

2011 Noble M600 (weekend toy)
It's back! I loved it so much, I owned it twice! One of circa 25 M600s built. Now fully re-trimmed to my specification. Was meant to be my forever weekend car but I sold it in a moment of madness.

2017 Lexus NX F-Sport Premier
Love the look of the thing and pleasant enough to drive but about as much fun as being dead. The 2 litre hybrid sounds nasty mated to a CVT gearbox. Got shut after 6 weeks.

2016 Mercedes E400 Coupe
I loved it but during the 8 months of ownership, Mercedes had it for 5 months due to an engine fault they struggled to rectify. I eventually rejected it and moved on.

2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid
My first taste of Pork & I liked it. Not the most dynamic car but work and back on a full battery charge, zero road tax and minimal depreciation made for a cheap daily driver. Felt like it was cast from a solid lump of granite. Sadly rejected back to the dealer due to poor reliability.

2016 Porsche Macan GTS
Loved it. Just about every optional extra fitted, goes like a bast4rd and sounds like thunder. Don't believe all the journalists - it's a 4x4, not a hot hatch but it is probably the most composed 4x4 when pushing on through the twisties. 20mpg was poor but very strong residuals softened the blow.

2018 Porsche GT3 (weekend toy)
500bhp, manual box, that flat 6 howl all the way up to 9000 rpm, solid, well built, confidence inspiring... It's "only" a Porsche but it's bloody awesome. Love it.

2017 Lexus LC 500H Coupe
Everyday motoring doesn't get much better looking than this? A Japanese Aston Martin with fair running costs. A tad on the small side as the family car but do-able. Just. Probably the MOST attention I've had from any car previously owned.
