Fancy yourself as the next Lewis Hamilton but your wheels are more Lada than Lambourghini? Then dust off your fluffy dice, supe up your spoiler and sign up for the Sucata Run, a junk-car rally from France to Portugal this August Bank Holiday. UK-based charity Gemin-i.org is calling drivers of all ages to sign up and get involved. Cars of all shapes and sizes can take part – the only rule is they mustn’t be worth more than £250. The rally kicks off in Normandy’s stunning capital, Rouen on 21st August, and cars then rattle their way through 2000km of the most stunning scenery to arrive in Europe’s most westerly point, Cabo da Roca on 25th August. All money raised will go to Gemin-i.org, a charity which believes in the power of technology and communication to educate and unite people around the globe.
