Can you believe that this will be our third La Vie? who would have thought it. So - for 2009 we're off again, organising plenty of treats to help this event grow.
As last year we will have racing on both days with practice runs in the morning.
Saturday is for classic English cars, Sunday sees our celebration of all things Francais.
By special arrangement we have The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, including the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane Saturday 23rd May only undertaking a full display; Sunday will see a special display by a French Stampe bi-plane. Don't miss this unique event
You can enjoy some superb cars on both days, including the Veyron (we don't know how many this year, but the count is rising) and the Bugatti EB110 (chassis #1), the spectacular car that preceded the Veyron.
For petrolheads the blurb on the EB110 is as follows: The car has a 60-valve, quad-turbo V12 powering all four wheels through a six-speed gearbox. The 3.5 L (3499 cc) engine has a bore of 81 mm (3.2 in) and a stroke of 56.6 mm (2.23 in) and is capable of 542 hp (404 kW) at 8000 rpm. Acceleration to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, and the GT has a top speed of 213 mph (343 km/h). Oh My!
What else - well our handsome Gendarmes will be patrolling to keep us Rosbif in our place. The Can-Can girls will be showing an unseemly amount of leg and this year we shall have a special tent where our Legionnaires will be more than happy to sign you up for a spell in the desert, no questions asked!
