Description
The black paintwork has recently been machine polished and has a lovely deep shine. The bodywork is straight and presents very well, with only a light scattering of stone chips, some touched in, and minor age-related imperfections. The headlights remain clear without the heavy yellowing often seen, although there is a very slight crack in the driver’s-side lens. Both rear lights are free from cracks, and the windscreen has a few light stone chips.
The alloy wheels have been refurbished in recent years and remain in excellent condition. Matching Falken tyres are fitted all round, each with plenty of tread.
The hood fabric is generally presentable, with a small wear mark towards the rear but no tear in that area. The lower section around the rear window has become loose, leaving the screen less taut than it should be, and would benefit from attention.
Inside, the contrasting reddish leather makes a particularly attractive combination with the black exterior. Both sports seats present extremely well, with no rips, tears or significant bolster wear. The dashboard, door cards, steering wheel and gear knob are also very well preserved. There are a few minor scuffs to the lower entry trim and light scratches around the centre console near the seat-belt buckles. Black Boxster overmats protect the carpets, and both front and rear luggage compartments are clean and tidy.
Specification includes heated sports seats, air conditioning, a three-spoke leather steering wheel and coloured Porsche crest wheel centres. The car is accompanied by two keys, its original Porsche document wallet and owner’s manuals, together with the space-saver spare wheel and jack.
The service book contains Porsche main dealer and independent specialist stamps. There is a gap in the stamped record between December 2005 and February 2018, supported by a signed letter from the owner who purchased the car in July 2008 at 74,000 miles. He explains that approximately 10,000 miles were covered during his ownership, that minor servicing was arranged without the book being stamped, and that the car remained unused from 2015.
An October 2017 invoice for £1,742.91 at 84,802 miles records work including four new tyres, a replacement battery, coolant replacement, two Bosch oxygen sensors, brake-pipe repairs and brake bleeding, exhaust fixings and an immobiliser repair.
Subsequent servicing is recorded in February 2018 at 84,935 miles, February 2021 at 92,660 miles, May 2023 at 95,038 miles and May 2024 at 97,050 miles.
The car has six previous keepers. The odometer is currently displaying 160,825 kilometres, equivalent to approximately 99,930 miles.
An appealing, well-presented manual Boxster for someone happy to attend to the remaining details.
