Finished in red over black with black leather effect upholstery and wooden artillery wheels, SV 4504 carries an E prefix to its serial number, indicating manufacture in Elizabeth, New Jersey

Imported to the UK from Tennessee in 1992 after time in Virginia and Kansas, it was possibly first supplied by WG Reynolds Motor Co, Durant and Star agents in Kansas. The car has twice appeared on the cover of the Durant Partners Club magazine, with one article recounting a previous owner’s road trip to France

Powered by a 2.2-litre Continental four-cylinder side-valve engine with a separate three-speed manual gearbox, it rides on a leaf sprung ladder frame with Timken axles and rear wheel brakes
