The GT3 RS sits at the top of the naturally aspirated 991 range and is a very different car to the standard GT3, with its wider body, revised suspension, rear-axle steering and extensive aerodynamic package. It has the presence you expect from an RS, but it is the way the car drives that really sets it apart.

The chassis is incredibly precise, with excellent front-end response and a huge amount of mechanical grip. It feels very composed when pushed, but still gives the driver plenty of feedback. The PDK is equally well suited to the car, changing gear quickly and making full use of what the engine has to offer.

The 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six produces 500 PS and revs to 8,800 rpm. It is a very responsive engine, with strong performance throughout the rev range and a real sense of occasion as it gets towards the top end. 0–62 mph takes just 3.3 seconds and top speed is 193 mph, but it is the way the engine delivers its power and the immediacy of the throttle response that makes this car so special.
