Porsche 911 3.0 RS tribute

This car was originally registered on 1st May 1980 to a Mr Tony Dunn of A Dunn & Co Ltd by supplying Porsche dealer JCT600 of Leeds.

Bitten by the Porsche 911 bug as a child as so many are, I was lucky enough to buy my dream car eleven years ago from a customer who had owned the car for twenty plus years. He said to me, "I will sell you the car if promise me one thing, make it better".

I had seen this exact car in the window of a local specialist and Honda dealer 'Two Mills' when I was just 17. Every kid has that defining moment when you fall in love with your dream car. That was the moment.

I have now decided the time has come to let somebody else take the reins of this iconic car.

The car speaks for itself, 46 years old and looks like a real life Dinky toy.

Starting with what was a lovely car, I decided to go all out and build my favourite G body 911, the 911 3.0 RS while keeping to the patina and originality.

Wide body steel panels were swiftly ordered from Porsche, E B Motorsport RS bumpers and a genuine early model turbo whale tail transformed the car into what you see before you.

A wide body needs wide wheels so 9x15 front and 11x15 rear,alloy wheels where ordered, sprayed in Porsche guard red complimented with Michelin TB15 sport tyres,Carrera decals complete the look

A full engine strip down was then carried out and reworked with many subtle changes including 964 cam shafts, SSI heat exchanges, full stainless steel exhaust and then Webber carburettors fitted for the ultimate symphony while on the move

The all original interior is in very good condition but does show signs of wear and patina as expected for a vehicle of this age.

All invoices for parts and engine work completed total over £42000 excluding body and paint

For peace of mind the car has been fitted with brand new tyres and gained a fresh MOT.
