Description
A striking wide-body 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2, backdated into an RSR-style tribute in Guards Red with numerous bespoke features and period-correct styling details.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.2-litre air-cooled flat-six, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.
This example started life as a UK-market 911 Carrera 3.2, which was first registered in May 1984.
The odometer indicates 12,882 miles, though it is understood this is the mileage covered since the engine refurbishment by Paul Stephens. The total chassis mileage is not known.
It rides on a set of 17-inch Fuchs alloy wheels finished in satin-black with silver ‘petal’ spokes and anodised lips, shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
Equipment now includes twin front spotlights, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, LED headlights, quick-release bonnet and engine lid straps, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, period bucket seats, simplified door cards with fabric door pulls.
The car has been significantly modified with a wide-body ‘short nose’ RSR-style conversion, wheel arch extensions, RSR-style bumpers, a central fuel tank, a ‘ducktail’ rear spoiler, a bespoke straight-through exhaust system, and a full glass-out interior refresh in 2024.
The factory sunroof has been ‘deleted’, as has the nearside door mirror.
The car is accompanied by two keys, a large history file from previous ownership, the backdate documentation, extensive Autofarm invoices covering around £40,000 spent during the previous keeper's three-year ownership.
