1965 JAGUAR E-TYPE

Here we have an original Right Hand Drive, UK supplied, Matching Numbers, 1965 Jaguar E type 4.2 Series One Fixed Head Coupe finished in Midnight Blue with a lovely burgundy hide interior. Where on earth do you find a 61 year old E type that has only had 3 owners from new?? We consider ourselves fortunate in finding such a car that had been purchased by its 3rd owner back in 2012 when the recorded mileage was 86,265. The second owner had purchased it 24 years earlier in 1988 when the recorded mileage was 85,300 miles but only added less than 1,000 miles during his long ownership. Judging by what appears to be a complete lack of corrosion we feel that it has benefitted from its lack of exposure to the elements during that period and since. We understand that the car was always garaged but regularly submitted for a fresh mot certificate every 12 months, the certificates for which are all in the car's extensive history file. From a mechanical stand point, the car the car has undergone regular servicing and maintenance by the most recent capable owner with numerous invoices for the purchase of genuine Jaguar parts from SNG Barrett. This is a good honest example of an unrestored but very useable Series One that has proved to be reliable on trips from the North of England to both The Goodwood Revival and the Le Mans Classic.
