The 280 Brooklands was introduced in 1987 as the final production evolution of Ford's much-loved sports coupé, powered by the 2.8-litre fuel-injected V6 and distinguished by its Brooklands Green finish and RS alloy wheels

Supplied new by Meteor Garage Moseley Ltd on 12/09/1987, this example was purchased new by the vendor's late-father and has remained within the same family ever since, with the V5 still showing zero former keepers

Remarkably, it was placed into storage during the early 1990s and remained there until 2023, when our vendor took ownership and embarked upon a comprehensive recommissioning programme

The work included replacement of all fluids and belts, reconditioning of the cylinder head, a new set of Pirelli tyres and a plethora of other mechanical works, returning the Capri to full mechanical health with invoices on file

The car received its first ever MOT in April 2026, passing with flying colours and displaying just 35,375 miles, with the exceptionally low mileage supported by the accompanying history

Supplied with the original Ford book pack including the Ford Motorists Guide, Capri Operating Guide, Ford Audio Sound Systems booklet and original service booklet which displays six stamped services between 1987 and 1990, all carried out at the correct intervals, with the 1990 service recording the car at just shy of 28,000 miles
