First registered in April 1983 and supplied by Normand of Mayfair, this imposing 5.0-litre V8 500 SEL is finished in Astral Silver with a beautifully preserved black leather interior and shows just two former registered keepers

Remarkably, its first owner retained the Mercedes for over 35 years, whilst the odometer currently indicates just 55,600 miles, a figure supported by the particularly well-preserved condition of the cabin and accompanying history

Exceptionally well specified from new, its build cards list electrically adjustable front and rear seats, rear footrests, orthopaedic front seat backrests, limited-slip differential, ABS, cruise control, air conditioning, heat-insulating glass, rear reading lamps and curtains for the rear and side windows

An impressive service history includes 13 stamps in the service book to 1998 and invoices recording a further five services. In April 2025 it was serviced and fitted with eight new spark plugs, four matching tyres, two front coil springs, an offside front wheel bearing and nearside front window motor
