1988 VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER

This incredibly rare T25 Kombi Syncro 16" is finished in Escorial Green with a Saddle brown interior and has the following factory specification taken from its VW heritage certificate:

​Right Hand Drive

4 + G Manual gearbox

1.6L 4 Cylinder turbo diesel engine (original to vehicle)

Speedometer with digital watch and trip mileometer

16" Wheels and tyres

Sliding window in door and opposite panel

PU Steering wheel

​It is believed that only a handful of T25 Kombi Syncro 16" versions were ever made in right hand drive making this an incredibly rare VW van. In recent years it has been fully restored having been stripped back to a bare shell and had the following work carried out and more:

​Stripped fully to a bare shell and any rust removed.

Full respray inside out and out in original Escorial Green

Re-trimmed interior

Fully rebuilt suspension (all bushes, ball joints etc)

Centre viscous differential rebuilt

All rubber components replaced

Braking system fully rebuilt (calipers/hoses etc)

Refurbished 16" wheels

Spare wheel holder refurbished

Complete engine service (injectors, seals, gaskets etc)

Replacement clutch

Replacement wiring harness

​It comes with a fully bound photo book documenting the full restoration. According to the heritage certificate from VW it was originally destined for Russia but ended up as a safari vehicle in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Africa for many years where the current owner found it and had it restored then shipped to the UK.​​
