2003 Nissan

This is a hard sell for me. Unfortunately i have to let go my cherished imported 350z. I am the first uk owner and have owned since September 2023. The plan was to keep this car and enjoy it with a view to turbo it when I had the funds. The absolute only reason for sale is I’ve managed to buy a Skyline and can’t afford to keep both.

This car has spent all its UK life off the road and garaged during the winter seasons and kept away from salty roads. Basically only driven in good weather as a weekend car. From a rust perspective it’s amazing. I have photographed the sills and you can see they are clean and solid. It’s always been warmed up properly before being driven and due to it being a weekend car it hasn’t covered a great amount of miles in the last few years.

PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS

- Plenum spacer

- 75mm throttle body

- Z1 race intake

- Decats

- Fujitsubo exhaust (quiet on idle, amazing sound through the revs, not like a trumpet!)

There is only so much you can do to these engines without a turbo and with the above mods along side a remap from Horsham Developments, she is dyno’d at 290bhp.

SERVICING/MAINTENANCE

I bought this car with “full service history” from the dealer. All the previous paperwork from Japan is not that clear due to it being in Japanese so I’m not 100% sure either way. However as far as I am aware, the Japanese have quite strict maintenance regimes and judging by the way the car sounds and drives I’ve never had any concerns. Since ownership I have serviced my self either yearly or at 4000 miles.

BODYWORK/PAINT

This is not a perfect car. The bodywork is fantastic, with no dents, damage or rust. The previous owner has cleaned the pillars with something that has left some scores in the paint (not noticeable at first and I didn’t even see it when I first bought the car). The rear spoiler is carbon fibre and needs re-lacquering on the top side from sun exposure.

Overall for a 23 year old car it’s great. Compared to many Z’s out there, this stands out. It’s been to many shows and always gets people mentioning how clean it is.

INTERIOR

The interior is in great condition. Electric leather heated seats with no tears or rips. Brand new genuine gear stick knob (£130). All electrics work (windows, folding wing mirrors, seats etc. It has custom gauges for reading oil pressure, oil temperature and water temperature. All extremely useful for knowing when the car should be driven. Speedo and clocks are still in KM. Only down side of the interior to me is the steering wheel. The leather has worn away and I have temporarily fixed it with a big improvement but I would have liked to change this at some point.

OTHER MODIFICATIONS

- Gas bonnet struts (no need for the bonnet holder)

- Upgraded front and rear speakers with CarPlay head unit.

- Upgraded to full Brembo calipers and bigger disks around 600miles ago.

- Upgraded braided brake lines front and back.

- Upgraded brake booster to suit the above.

WHEELS

So the wheels on the car are Volk Racing GT-C split rims. These wheels alone are extremely rare and don’t go for less than £2500 even in used condition. So many people have asked me if I’ll sell them just the wheels. These ones are mint. I recently had the spokes professionally re painted as they had faded and the chrome I spent literally days polishing. New hardware as well.

Currently have Michelin pilot sport 4s all round only covering around 300miles.

This is an honest car and I’ve be transparent with everything. If you’re looking for a tasteful, well looked after and rust free 350z, this is your car. I genuinely wish I could keep it and hopeful that whoever buys it will also have a nice garage for her and not be looking to daily or turn her into a drift missile!
