The 981 generation Boxster & Cayman arrived in 2012 and brought the model a step closer to its bigger brother, the 911. The car had a longer wheelbase, wider track and lower roof line than the previous model and offered more space, improved refinement and better handling.

The exterior bodywork on this example presents beautifully with no major marks to the factory paintwork and the look is set off perfectly by the factory 20” Carrera S Alloy Wheels finished in stunning GT Silver and fitted with a set of 2025 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tyres.

On the Inside the Black leather interior remains in superb condition and shows no major signs of wear or use. This Boxster has some nice options including 14 way electrically adjustable and heated seats, leather sports steering wheel, automatic dual climate control, cruise control, PASM with sports chrono plus and navigation.

On the road, this Boxster S feels fresh, tight and responsive. The controls feel precise and the handling positive and superbly well balanced. The 7 Speed dual-clutch PDK transmission option offers great all round drivability. With driver modes ranging from Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus the transmission and throttle changes character to suit whichever type of drive you desire.

With the option of Cruise Control, the PDK offers the perfect long distance package whilst Sport and Sport Plus switch up the driving experience, along with the manual gear change selection via the PDK lever or Steering Wheel selectors if more driver involvement is required.

The uprated brakes of the S model give driver confidence whilst the PASM system adds a level of security should a situation arise. As with any Boxster, the best part is the roof which can be electronically dropped within seconds to bring in an extra dimension of interaction whenever the weather allows be it a hot summers day or a fresh crisp winters day with the heated seats on full. The extra aural exposure to the that glorious flat 6 howl from just behind the seats becomes addictive.

HISTORY:

The car was first registered at the launch of the 981 model in May 2012 to its first owner Porsche Centre West London as their showroom display model before being sold to its first private owner from Marlow.

The car passed through a few other private owners and was purchased by the current owner from Independent Specialists RSJ Porsche in March 25 when the car had covered around 70,000 miles.
