Island Blue/Old English White with Cumulus Grey and Gold brocade trim, This original UK home market example was built on the 25th May 1966, Ordered in B.M.C Island Blue/Old English White with Cumulus Grey and Gold brocade trim and equipped with a fresh air heater, Originally supplied to Mr Anthony Masterson of Farnham by Swain and Jones Limited of Farnham, Surrey on the 14th June 1966 and issued with the registration number FHO 835D, A total nut and bolt photographic professional restoration was carried out by a highly regarded Mini enthusiast and expert Bryan Purves (Author of The Last Works Mini), with the original S engine rebuilt to 1,293cc Fast road specification by Bill Richards Engineering, On competition of the restoration the Cooper was inspected by Paul Sulma of the Mini Cooper Register and consequently awarded the Chief Judges Special award (John White Cup) at the 2019 National Mini Cooper Rally, Beaulieu, Complete with comprehensive provenance file including Original Green logbook, Original Green Continuation book, Original Austin Mini Cooper Drivers handbook, Heritage Trust certificate, Restoration details, Restoration invoices, Restoration photos, Engine and Gearbox build specification, Various invoices and Mini Cooper Register details, Previously supplied by ourselves back in 2020, Shortly after purchase the new owner commissioned well known Mini Specialists MED and CCK Historic to further enhance the Cooper S with some carefully chosen upgrades to include Mk1 Deluxe bumpers, Suede steering wheel, Lifeline quick release steering boss, Tachometer, MED level 3 handling pack, KAD rear anti roll bar to historic AppK spec, MED Quantum One.Zero dampers, New front and rear suspension cones, New front and rear Hi-Los, Tie rod and track rod ends, Camber brackets and dampers, New Rose Petal Matt black racing alloys, New Yokohama A032R tyres, Suspension/geometry setup and Rolling road set-up - this work costing in excess of £7,500 (All original parts are supplied with the car), Remarkably, this beautifully restored Cooper S has covered a mere 85 miles since restoration, An outstanding opportunity to acquire one of the very best examples of the iconic MK1 Cooper S, restored to an exceptional standard, award winning, matching numbers and ready for its next discerning custodian.
