**2002 Lotus Elise S2 - For Sale**

It is with some reluctance that I am offering my 2002 Lotus Elise S2 for sale. As is often the case, family commitments and a lack of spare time mean that I am no longer able to enjoy the car as much as it deserves.

Mechanically, the car drives very well and has benefited from significant recent maintenance. This includes a full D Service carried out last year, which included the cambelt and water pump replacement. Additional recent work includes replacement of the clutch slave cylinder, brake master cylinder, and an upgraded gear linkage. The car has been maintained and serviced by ES Motorsport, well-regarded Lotus specialists.

I have tried to present the car as honestly as possible in the photographs. As such, please expect some paint bubbling, age-related stone chips, and minor cosmetic marks. The seats also show wear consistent with the car's age, as shown in the photos. Also worth mentioning that 3rd gear can occasionally feel a little notchy when changing into it at higher road speeds (synchro?). It's always been like that during my ownership (~10 years), hasn't changed, and has never affected my enjoyment of the car.

The overall condition has been reflected in the asking price, particularly given that the paintwork would benefit from attention. One of the soft bars needs replacing (50 pound). However, this is a sound and enjoyable Elise that is ready to be driven and appreciated by its next owner.
