EXTERIOR

Finished in sought-after grey over black and equipped with that all-important third pedal, this low mileage E46 M3 is a very attractive prospect indeed. The car has just been treated to a full machine polish and the result is what you see here, smooth Steel Grey metallic paintwork with a great swirl-free shine. In line with the mileage and originality there is an honest dusting of stone chips at the front end, but the headlights are nice and clear. She’s arrow-straight along both sides with little more than a few discreetly touched-in blemishes to report. The underside has just been inspected and presents in great original condition, further benefitting from professional ‘boot floor’ reinforcement that was carried out in 2024.

INTERIOR

The black Nappa leather remains feeling soft to the touch with few signs of wear to the electric sports seats. Other commonly marked items such as the M leather gear knob, centre console trims, and cubby hole lids are all immaculate having been replaced with brand new OEM BMW parts last year. The original steering wheel also remains in lovely condition with a perfect grain to the leather and very few marks. Genuine BMW mats are retained in the footwells, and we’re pleased the original Business CD head unit still fitted in the dash. The car is further equipped with some nice cost options including the desirable Harman Kardon sound system, electric folding door mirrors, brushed aluminium inlays, and a front central armrest.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The S54 is an iconic six-cylinder powerplant revving to 8,000rpm with an intoxicating rasp at higher revs, and in this M3 it’s paired with the coveted manual gearbox. The car has just returned from our trusted classic car workshop where it received a full mechanical check over for the new keeper’s peace of mind. Prior to this, in April 2026, it received an Inspection 1 service including valve clearances. In the hands of only 2 keepers since new the M3 has always been maintained to a great standard with 13 stamps in the original service booklet.

HISTORY FILE

This low mileage, low owner M3 Cabrio was ordered new directly from Hartman BMW in Germany. It resided with its first owner (primarily in Jersey) from 2003 until 2020 when it was acquired by the current registered keeper who has enjoyed it for the last 8k miles. The accompanying paperwork includes all owners’ manuals, the original stamped service book, a raft of invoices and recent MOT certificates, a copy of the original 2003 order form, a spare remote key, and the current V5C registration certificate.
