2005 PORSCHE BOXSTER

Thanks for looking at my lovely manual 2005 Boxster S.

It’s a fantastic car, which is a credit to its previous owners. It’s been garaged during my ownership, and the previous owner as well. This is one of those rare cars that have been looked after with no expense spared!

It’s a “triple black” example, with Basalt black paintwork, full, extended black leather interior and a black roof.

Being the earlier 3.2L car, it doesn’t suffer from the dreaded bore scoring of the 3.4L. Also, being a 2005 car, it’s in the lower road tax bracket. This is the sweet spot of 987 Boxsters.

Its had all of the usual (expensive) issues sorted in the last few years and is ready to go to its next owner. The only reason I’m selling it is because I’ve just bought a McLaren 12C, and I don’t envisage the Boxster getting much use once I collect that!

It’s a great spec, and looks fantastic with the following options:

Heated, partially electric (seat back) sport seats

Sport steering wheel (much better than the slightly oddly shaped standard item!).

PASM - adjustable suspension, with a normal and sport mode, a desirable option.

Bose sound system.

Xenon (litronic in Porsche speak) headlights

19” “lobster claw” alloy wheels which have no kerb marks on them at all. Fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round.

Extended leather (doors etc)

Sport tailpipe trim (again much nicer than the oddly shaped standard exhaust trim).

Headlight aim adjustment (£24)

4 corner suspension geometry adjustment (£200)

Previous owners have completed the following (don’t buy one which hasn’t had these items done!):

November 2023 - Suspension refresh inc the infamous coffin arms. New front and rear discs & pads, zunsport front grills (stops stones from destroying the radiators and heat exchangers).

September 2023 - new air/oil separator. New water pump. New coolant crossover pipes.

August 2017 - new clutch kit, IMS (already had the uprated one, but was replaced anyway whilst they were doing the clutch) & RMS replaced.

The car has a full service history with a stamped service book and extensive folder of invoices as well as its full, original book pack and both keys.

It’s clearly been enthusiast owned (I’m personally a member of the Porsche club GB and Goodwood) throughout its life, and is the ideal car to buy, with all of the must have jobs having been completed.

The mileage is currently 69,900 but this will increase as it’ll remain in regular use on sunny days.
