Description
A very nice UK Honda Integra Type R. I've owned this for nearly a decade and it's been nothing but brilliant in all that time.
- Full service history going back to the car's purchase sheet, with the majority in recent years done by UK's best Honda specialist (TGM Sport)
- Fresh MOT and just serviced
- No mechanical issues
- Sensible and easily reversible modifications:
- Brand new (fitted under 100 miles ago) Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust (£1k) & Toda-style header. Best setup for these, quiet but a better sound than OEM
- Tegiwa carbon-fibre intake (fitted under 1,000 miles ago)
- High-quality Tein coilovers
- K-Sport six-pot front calipers and larger, vented discs (my favourite upgrade)
- TeamDynamics Pro Race 1.2 lightweight alloy wheels, Yokohama AD08R tyres
- OMP rear strut braces and Hardrace engine mounts
- Original airbox and exhaust will come with the car
The paintwork is overall very good especially at the front. During my ownership TGM sorted some small rust bubbles for me on the bonnet, which included a partial respray and I've hardly driven it since then, so it looks fantastic after a quick polish. There's a tiny (pea-sized) bubble on the left rear arch that I've not been able to get sorted yet. The inside was stripped and checked a few years ago for rust so I wouldn't be too concerned about hidden demons, especially since this car has been garaged for nearly its entire life. There are some other tiny marks here and there, and the fastener for the rear bumper needs replacing. These small cosmetic issues are reflected in the price, as they are really the only things that might need attention.
Interior is close to perfect aside from a couple of small cuts in the driver's seat bolster, way down on the outside and well out of view. I have the original steering wheel on there now but also have an Alcantara-trimmed one done by Royal that can be swapped on. Period-looking Continental stereo that looks OEM but has Bluetooth and USB.
Mechanically excellent. Had some issues years ago with emissions on MOT but this turned out to be a duff lambda sensor, has been fine since that was fixed. The service history is among the best I've ever seen; it's had four proper enthusiast, wealthier owners who have not skimped on anything.
I've owned this car for a long time and never intended to sell it, so I've maintained it to the best standard I can. Selling is incredibly painful but I can't justify owning it any more - it only drove 100 miles last year, mostly just me taking it out to keep it healthy. I hope it will be bought by someone who can use it and enjoy it.
It's been featured in several car mags including a feature in Classic & Sports Car a few years ago, and Auto Express as well.
