Ordered in Meteorite Silver with an Obsidian Black Semi Aniline leather interior with Silver stitching and Piano Black veneers. Options include the bespoke Bang & Olufsen audio equipment featuring rather unusual tweeters that rise out of the top roll on the dash, an alarm upgrade package and 10 spoke 20 inch lightweight wheels offering a 2kg per wheel reduction in un-sprung mass. The more comfortable electric heated sports seats are fitted along with the 2+2 rear seat option.
It’s History
This DB9 has only covered 56880 miles and has been serviced on schedule at Aston Martin main dealers up until very recently, when servicing has been undertaken by marque specialists Aston Keeper in Egham. This results in 13 servicing stamps in the Owners Handbook. The most recent work being a service and inspection carried out by Aston Keeper in October 2025. In addition the coils and plugs were replaced in September 2025 using genuine Aston Martin coils. Inside, everything works as it should with an upgraded satellite navigation and media package supplied by Aston Installations. The head light lenses have also just been replaced removing the crazing scratching often apparent on these headlights.
Although the V5C shows 8 owners, it was owned twice by the same guy who sold it to his friend and then bought it back from him, you have to love a car to own it twice. It was also put into his partners name so it’s really only had 6 owners in 16 years.
On the Road
To understand why the DBS is so special to drive, it’s necessary to quote Jeremy Clarkson from his 2007 Top Gear review in which he said “Think of the DBS as a DB9 where every little piece is a little bit better”. Then add the Rear mounted Graziano Six speed manual gearbox, ceramic brakes, an upgraded chassis featuring an adaptive damping system which transforms its ride and levels of road holding to levels previously reserved for sport pack upgrade cars and turns the car into more of a sports car than previously.
The interior is a special place to be with the redesigned front facia stack and subtly added carbon fibre inserts. Fire up the aluminium alloy Quad overhead cam, four valves per cylinder, 6 litre V12 with the glass key and the result is a sublime exhaust note with the instant power delivery and effortless torque that only V12 engines provide. This is a car that cries out for a challenging and engaging road trip to really bond with the driver. Simply magnificent.
Conclusion
These DBS V12s are stunning long distance tourers in the old school tradition of mighty front engine, manual gearbox cars with plenty of space inside and for luggage. They are also comparatively rare with only 2533 coupes made, the preferable manual version being particularly desirable. This particular DBS looks absolutely stunning in its Meteorite Silver on Black colour scheme, colours that really set off the aggressive lines of the DBS. It feels very special and drives as well as it looks. Yes, a car to own and savour and bond with on long road trips. Yes, I want one!!!
It is now available for viewing and demonstration at our Hampshire premises.
