Alpine: The Brand’s Origins
Automobiles Alpine began as a small French sports-car maker founded by Jean Rédélé in 1955. It gained fame in rallying and lightweight sports cars, most famously with the Alpine A110 in the 1960s and early 1970s, establishing Alpine’s reputation for sporting excellence. Renault gradually took control of Alpine through the late 1960s and early 1970s, fully integrating the brand into its sports programme.
The Dieppe, France factory became the spiritual home of Alpine — and later of many Renault performance models — and the Alpine badge came to represent French sports-car engineering and flair.
Alpine in the Late 1980s → Early 1990s
By the mid-1980s, Alpine’s focus had shifted from rally racers like the A310 to more road-focused sports cars — mid-engine grand tourers that could compete with established European rivals. This was the era of the Alpine GTA.
This stunning Alpine Blue A310 has been in the current ownership since 2019 and used sparingly for high days and holidays.
The body is in good order and the interior is original and in good shape. The car runs and drives well and on the button.
Way in front of their time with handling and performance a real enthusiast car and great touring vehicle.
