A fantastic, show winning, genuine MK1 Golf GTi with all the right bits including naturally aspirated 2.0 16v engine, great bodywork, fab Ronal wheels and a lovely interior.

MOT/Tax exempt

The shell

Factory GTi shell. This has been bare shell respared in a custom paint job which looks black in the shade and has a red tint in bright sunlight and custom sunroof.

Engine

Smoothed engine bay and trimmed scuttle.

2.0 16v ABF from Mk3 Golf GTI fitted with OBX individual throttle bodies. It has 440cc Bosch injectors and a wing mounted adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Further upgrades include TSR cams 278 and Vernier pully.

Custom alloy radiator with incorporated expansion and slimline fan.

Full stainless jetex exhaust including manifold (heat wrapped) with inward rolled tailpipe. Braided fuel lines from tank to fuel rail.

ECU

Microsquirt V3engine management utilising GM sensors and Mk4 Golf 2.0 8v coil pack and innovative LC2 wide band controller. Mapped on rolling road at SOS Motorsport. Rolling roaded at 150bhp at the wheels.

Gearbox

VW 02J front case using 02S gear set (6 speed) and rear case. It’s fitted with a G60 fly wheel and VR6 clutch. Mk5 Golf cables and gear selector also used. Biass pedal box.

Chassis

Fully polly bushed throughout.

KW v1 Coilovers all round with adjustable strut top mounts at the front. Front Sayner works strut brace in satin black wrinkle. Rear Sparco brace in silver.

The rear beam, front arms etc are all powder coated.

Brakes

Front - Zafira front calipers with G60 280mm disks and yellow pads. Braided lines throughout.

Rear - Mk2 rear stub axles with Mk2 rear disks and wheel bearings on Mk4 Golf rear caliper carriers.

Interior

Mk3 Golf Recaro seats retrimmed in Black leather with Mk7 GTI tartan. Rear is sound deadened with wooden floor / carpet. Front and rear door cards in Black vinyl. MOMO black edition steering wheel. Handbrake from Davies Motorsport engineering. No head unit (you have the ITB’s to listen to!! White dials. Rug for bugs custom thick mates with GTI tartan edge.

All genuine VW glass throughout. Rear wiper deleted. Rear heated screen not in use. SA spec rear lights. New stainless early front and rear bumpers with rubber inserts and textured plastic ends. Textured rear spats.

5 x Ronal Turbo alloy wheels with Khumo tyres. All completely unmarked.

This car is in very good condition. Has absolutely no rust. Has won best European at the Scottish Festival of motoring in 2024 and several other trophies.
