2001 Lotus

2001 Series 1 Lotus Exige

Painted in the highly desirable B05 Mustard Yellow. The car is very collectible in terms of options and spec (not to mention condition) with factory black Interior trimmed in Alcantara on door cards and in the centre section of the much coveted lotus leather motorsports seats which are complete with the factory 4 point harnesses. OEM removable motorsport steering wheel also fitted (this has been refinished in Alcantara as part of a refresh).

From new supplied with black “Exige” labelled carpet set was also factory specified with AC and a Meta alarm. The AC I’ve never used and the alarm is isolated. Another rare part is the carbon airbox.

I had correct S1 three point seat belts fitted as the harnesses can be a pain in everyday use.

It has a clarion headset, again never used.

The car runs an Emerald M3DK ECU and Piper verniers, fitted and tuned by Emerald in 2004. Often known as the 190 upgrade (from the factory 177bhp).

The fuel tank replaced with a larger capacity Pro Alloy version.

Ohlins 3 way adjustable suspension, running 340R geometry. Bought from the Tarmac Terrorist. They were originally from a 211 and were refurbished and revalved for S1 Exige. I have the original Exige suspension which is included in the sale.

Oil pressure and temperature gauges fitted in custom pod which fits on the centre housing in front of of the gearstick.

Car has the original Lotus fit Amourfend.

Exhaust is a 2tubular, single outlet with sports cat fitted. The original exhaust and CAT are supplied, boxes since new.

Throttle pedal linkage replaced with Eliseparts version.

Lotus Power rear diffuser is fitted, again the original part comes with the car.

The original owner raided the period Lotus accessory catalogue car includes aluminium black window winders, sill plates, gear knob, cam cover plate, oil cap, gear indicator plate. Originals kept and supplied.

The car is currently sat on ultra rare period correct (from motorsport Elise series) Speedline Corse (genuine) Magnesium wheels. The original Exige Alloys in perfect order are included.

The car also comes with an indoor and outdoor car cover.

The car has always been garaged and only used on sunny day in my ownership and not tracked in my time.

I have owned the car for nearly 7 years with 3 prior keepers. The car has a full service history. In my ownership always serviced annually by marque specialist Scott Russell Sportscars. It has been maintained regardless of cost.

The cars private plate is not included in the sales, it will be put back on its original number.

Genuinely cherished car, just time for a change.
