⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY
The ultimate in quality pillarless coupés, the 250SE is one of the most elegant designs of its era.
The Mercedes-Benz halo model, a cutting-edge full-sized luxury vehicle with an emphasis on passenger comfort and safety, debuted in 1959 with the W111 series of Mercedes saloons. A program of successive model expansion, with niche options and power to expand on, the most notable addition to the range was the Paul Bracq-styled pillarless Coupe of 1961. Engine permutations and continuous development led to the 1965 250SE, which by now hosted all-round disc brakes, uprated rear axle and most significantly a seven-main bearing six-cylinder 2.5-litre fuel-injected engine.
The interior was layered with sumptuous leather and wood, making it the ideal car for long-distance travel, with enough space for 4 adults and luggage. The basic design of the coupe continued well into the 1970s, establishing the virtues of style, comfort, safety and prestige of the S-Class lineage.
In need of a few minor cosmetic tasks, this LHD 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SE Coupe comes to market from almost two years with our vendor, it is finished in gold over a dark beige Leather interior. Imported into the UK in 2001, it comes with a file of invoices and old MOT certificates and has a current V5. Structurally sound with a good mechanical standing, this usable example is fitted with the rare manual 4-speed gearbox and offers a tremendous opportunity to bring up one of the most beautiful Mercedes-Benzes up to scratch.
