1983 FORD CAPRI

Everyone loves a Capri S and the 2.0 version was the car most of us could dream to afford, back in the 80’s. As a credible alternative to the RS2000 Escort, this model Capri is a nicer car to drive and an easier car to live with than the Escort.

This is a low mileage, low owner example that came into us in a very good state of order. That said, the bodywork had small minor imperfections, and we did consider selling the vehicle as it was, because it was a nice example. But then we had a radical change of mind, having considered the quality of the interior, the engine and the main components. We had the car stripped out, removed the engine, carried out a full body preparation and repainted which included the engine bay. Much under the bonnet is new particulalrly the water pump, radiator and fan cooling system.

It now presents superbly, and looks a million dollars with white contrasting against all the black trims, as we see with modern cars today. It drives well too, so well, it could be a daily driver, and how cool would that be? Supplied with its original booklets, service book and maintenance bills from back in the day.

The car has been serviced regularly regardless of its little use. In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021,2022 and 2026 – confirming the owner cared for this car which we at Fairmont recognised.

A 6-month national warranty from Autoguard Warranties is included - Registered as Historic, this does not require an MOT, but this has been carried out, or road tax and is ULEZ exempt. The car is fully serviced, MOT'd and ready to go.
