2007 ASTON MARTIN V8 VANTAGE

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was launched at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show and was an entirely new design based on the aluminium and composite VH platform construction. Aimed squarely at the Porsche 911 the V8 Vantage was a 2 seater sports coupe capable of 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 175 mph (282 km/h) that looked stunningly gorgeous, drove brilliantly and in typical Aston fashion was a stylish and great place to be seated.

The engine a new 4.3-litre (4,280 cc) quad-cam 32-valve V8 which producing 380 bhp (283 kW; 385 PS) at 7,300 rpm and 410 N⋅m (302 lb⋅ft) at 5,000 rpm was unique to Aston Martin and designed in house, it was assembled by hand at the AM facility in Cologne, Germany and has proved to be a very robust design.

The Car

Delivered new on 01 March 2007 to its current owner by AM Lancaster Reading, , this V8 Vantage was specified in Meteorite Silver with an Obsidian Black leather interior with Piano Black veneers. It was built with a good set of options including heated front screen, powerfold mirrors, heated front seats, satellite navigation, premium audio system and the 19” 7 spoke alloy wheels. Being a 2007 car the seats are the upgraded more comfortable design similar to those in the DB9. The best part of the V8 Vantage specification was the availability of a newly designed 6 speed manual Graziano gearbox that really enhanced the driver engagement and analogue feel of the car.

It’s History

With only 32894 miles completed by its 1 single original owner from new, who has diligently maintained the Vantage annually at the original supplying Aston Martin dealer Lancaster of Reading and since 2019 at the renowned Aston Martin specialists Chicane, this V8 Vantage is in superb original condition and runs and drives exactly as it should. The owner has kept every invoice and MOT to line up with the 15 stamps in the original service book and to verify the mileage. The service history is incredibly thorough and complete and the car comes with all the original books and keys and an Aston Martin Performance Driving CD and book. Such is the owner’s attention to detail that both front headlights were replaced in 2020 to deal with the familiar crazing and both rear lights have been refurbished this year by McGurk’s to deal with the LED and water ingress issues. An MOT was completed on 09 July 2025 with no advisories and a Bronze service completed by Chicane on 07 June 2024 barely 1000 miles ago.

These 4.3 litre manual V8 Vantages are a suburb drive with free revving engine, positive manual gearbox, a great exhaust note and a fully engaging chassis.
