Before describing this potential concours winning car, a little bit of background about the owner.

37 years at Jaguar Cars Ltd, initially on the shop floor where he put his engineering skills to use, then looking after the Jaguar ‘press’ cars, to moving Jaguar Classics from Brown Lane to its present location.

His passion for cars and engineering meant that at the weekends he had his own workshop, which today in retirement, is still a busy hub for all things Jaguar.

This Series 3 V12 FHC was a genuine ‘Barn’ find, without paperwork, but a fully matching numbers car. Since taking ownership in 2015, this V12 E-type has been in the hands of a consummate professional, someone who knows and understands E-types, from assembly to road test.

Using his own skills, and networking with the best to rebuild, the engine, gearbox, axles, etc, this E-type’s obvious condition goes all the way through the vehicle.

In 2020 The Midlands Area of The Jaguar Drivers Club, examined and described the car as a ‘Superlative’ and ‘without doubt, one of the most perfectly restored cars in the United Kingdom’, being perfect in every respect.
