1988 PORSCHE 944

Recent MOT - no advisories

If you are serious about a 944 it doesn't get any better than this!

Solid seals - no rot. NOT your usual rubbish!

Amazing condition for age.

Very rare colour. looks Gold in the light and Silver in the dark.

Deep bolster electric sports seats with rare folding rears.

Owned for 9 years - always garaged. Never sees the rain.

unmarked D90 Alloys with good tyres all round.

pulls like a train (on the rare occasions I drive her)

Everything works as it should (except the clock)

Will be Tax and MOT exempt in a few years!

Bad bits (completely honest!)

listed as a Cat C in 2004 when 944s were at their lowest. She had a new bonnet and wing. Would definitely NOT be a Cat C now!

small crack in dash - easily repaired

clock doesn't work

few tiny blisters here and there

She has a 3 litre engine. Some purists don't like that but the 2.5s and the 3 litre are the same 4 pot 16v engine! 211 bhp as apposed to 190. what's not to like? She is listed with DVLA and insurance as a 3 litre. For some bizarre reason, she is cheaper to insure with Adrian Flux then a normal 944s (I've had 4).

Please don't ask me about the engine, I don't know. Does it matter? The work was done over 20 years ago! I didn't bother me...I've had many 944 experts look at her over the years and they all say she's one of the nicest they've seen!

All work was fastidiously documented along with every recipt and full service history but I bought the car off the son of the owner who had died. He promised to send it all to me but it never happened. Geezer was visibly traumatised - what do you do?

If it had FSH the car would be up for another £5k!
