2000 (W) Mitsubish Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition, 61, 000 miles. This car is eligible for export to the USA.
This car was built in partnership between the previous owner and Auto Torque over the space of a few years. Extremely well-known both at Auto Torque (search online for E13 TME Auto Torque) and on the MLR forum, with build threads under the username of “Stevie_”. Since the Auto Torque blog post was written, Auto Torque fitted a larger HKS 7460R GTII turbo. It was remapped at AMD in Wigan in 2022 to produce around 475bhp with amazing responsiveness.
I have owned the car since 2019, and have used it exclusively for summer days out, having covered just 5, 000 miles in the last six years. It lives in a dehumidified air chamber, which can be included in the sale.
The private registration E13 TME is included. It was originally registered as W834 BKN when imported.
It was built to be the ultimate fast road Evo, with a focus on driveability, handling and reliability, with careful consideration given to each part and upgrade, and Auto Torque and Steve absolutely nailed it. Part of this was retaining the original interior, and fitting a quiet exhaust that makes this car so driveable on long journeys without droning - however, as soon as the wastegate opens, the exhaust comes to life - the best of both worlds. The subtle sound of the recirculating BOV and induction can be heard above the exhaust and sound amazing.
Under the bonnet, it retains an almost OE look, including zinc passivated nuts, bolts and other components, and black powder coated aftermarket parts. The replacement SAS (not currently used) and the OE heatshield add to the overall subtlety that wouldn’t suggest 475bhp output. All components were chosen to perfectly complement each other, rather than chasing horsepower and sacrificing drivability.
The well-specced and carefully thought out drivetrain makes this car feel equally at home on the track as on country roads and everything feels tight and like a brand new car. The Öhlins DFV coilovers are easily adjusted to balance comfort and performance, the TME-specific steering rack provides faster turn-in and makes the car feel incredibly nimble, and the 2 piece discs and AP 6 pot calipers instil real braking confidence. Combined, this setup perfectly complements the engine performance.
In addition to the impressive engine and drivetrain work, the car also features a virtually immaculate interior, gleaming bodywork and two sets of stunning wheels; with a custom-sized set of Work D9R wheels currently fitted, and a freshly refurbished set of original Enkei TME wheels finished in the correct pearlescent white – both shod in Yokohama AD08R tyres.
It was magazine featured in Banzai magazine in May 2018, with a seven page write-up on the development and build of the car, giving in-depth insight into the journey Auto Torque and Steve went on, and how all that time and effort paid off.
There are tens of thousands of pounds of receipts and invoices, mainly from Auto Torque, and a photo album of the engine build.
The odometer shows just under 84, 000, which is a combination of miles and kilometres. Imported in 2012 with 60, 636km (37, 677mi), having covered an additional 23, 000 miles in the UK since import, which totals just over 61, 000 miles.
Serviced at 83, 942 (indicated) miles with Fuchs Titan engine oil and Royal Purple oil filter, and Millers gear oil and ATF. MOT until August 2026.
