1993 Porsche

Designed to compete in international GT racing, the RSR was one of the final developments of the Porsche 911 Type 964, representing a significant evolution for the model and marking Porsche’s renewed dominance in GT racing. Derived from the limited RS 3.8, the RSR featured a lightweight Turbo body and was designed for top-level racing events. Its model-specific Type M64/04 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six engine, featuring 11.4:1 compression, lighter pistons, dual ignition, individual throttle bodies, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch electronic fuel injection, can produce up to 325 horsepower as standard and is reported to produce even more, depending on class regulations. Power was delivered through a racing clutch to a five-speed manual transaxle with a 40% limited-slip differential. Body shells were seam-welded on the standard 964 assembly line and then equipped with fully triangulated roll cages by Matter.

Only 51 RSR 3.8 models were ever constructed, making them among the rarest air-cooled Porsches. This particular example is originally delivered new in Germany and is finished in the iconic shade of Speed Yellow. It is equipped with a locking differential, a 120-litre fuel tank, a reserve fuel pump, an open exhaust, air jacks, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It was never used in Germany before being exported to Japan shortly after, where it has been stored for 20 years with limited usage. It has then been carefully stored and maintained by the current custodian in Hong Kong with no sign of usage on the exterior and interior.
