2005 VOLKSWAGEN LUPO

For sale is my 2005 Volkswagen Lupo GTI.

A Japanese import, first registered in the UK in February 2024. Imported as a grade 4.5/B car, I'm the first UK owner. It's a 6 speed model with air conditioning and side airbags.

The car has covered 58,000 miles. It reads and records in miles. The conversion was carried out by the import agent using clocks from a UK model.

Shortly after import, the tyres were replaced for new Michelin PS3s (all four), an air-con re-gas and a timing belt/water pump change. This was in March 2024, approximately 55,700 miles.

The car then received a thorough suspension refresh, comprising of; OE spec front wishbones, top mounts, ARB links, track rod ends and GTI specific ball joints.

This was enhanced with the fitting of new KW V2 coilovers and an adjustable rear anti-roll bar. The car has covered about 600 miles since the coilovers were fitted and the geometry was set up by Spires Tuning.

The front brakes have been upgraded using G60 calliper carriers, 280mm discs and Ferodo Racing brake pads.

I've also had the steering wheel retrimmed by Royal Steering Wheels and fitted an uprated panel filter.

A new battery was fitted in late 2024, too.

ALL standard parts are included in the sale, including the steering wheel (I bought a second GTI wheel to have retrimmed) and the car could be returned to standard in an afternoon's work.

MOT runs until March 2026. Lanoguard rust protection was applied late summer 2024 (it was dry stored over winter, regardless). All UK receipts are present, along with original Japanese book pack etc.

The car is in lovely condition throughout, with none of the rust concerns that you may have with a UK car.

Negative points to mention; the driver's control for the passenger electric window is temperamental, there's a very small piece of flaking paint on the rear spoiler and there's only one key.

All in all, a lovely example of an uncommon little car. It's not perfect, but very good regardless. The car will be sold with its original UK registration number, BC05NZG.
