The Triumph TR6 represents the last great chapter of the classic British roadster era, embodying everything enthusiasts love about open-top motoring. With its bold, muscular styling by Karmann, distinctive squared-off tail, and purposeful stance, the TR6 was both elegant and sporty, capturing the spirit of 1970s design.

Under the bonnet, its smooth and powerful straight-six engine delivered the kind of performance and soundtrack that made every journey exciting, whether carving through winding country lanes or cruising with the roof down. Comfortable enough for long drives yet raw and mechanical in its feel, the TR6 struck the perfect balance between everyday practicality and spirited motoring.

This TR6 comes to market after ~37 and a half years with our vendor, it has had a great amount of time and effort, and indeed money, spent on the Triumph in recent years, the TR6 is excellent and must be one of the best on the market right now. Restorative works over the previous years have included; engine rebuild, a full strip and rebuild of the overdrive gearbox, fuel pump refurbishment, new carpets, headlining kit and new wheel medallions.

Work continued with wheel refurbishment, new seals, tyres, replacement hood straps, re-trimmed wheel arches, chroming work, seat belts, body works, brake updates, wheel bearings, fuel pipes, main loop upgrades, new injector pipe kit, diff rebuild and a respray in 2010.

The works have totalled over ~£30,000 through 2010 and 2011 with the bodywork been actioned by the reputable Jules BodyCraft- a seriously impressive project for the lovely Triumph. But don't be put off by all this spending, thinking it might be out of your budget, the seller Douglas understands current market conditions and the likely value - so a very keen reserve has been set. If you're after a TR6 then get involved in the bidding, as you might find you end up owning one of the best in the country.
