2009 CATERHAM

Another very well known car to PT is now offered for sale and we would bet it is one of the nicest R500's in the UK. The condition of this car is excellent, partly due to PPF fitment from new and the lack of use by the first owner.

No. 50 is on its second owner who upgraded from a R400 Duratec and has been a Caterham owner since 2007. This car was purchased in 2017 and was collected by PT, thoroughly checked and serviced (all documented) and then sent to Steve Greenauld to have the car mapped. The mapping was not to gain more power but to perfect the cold start, torque and general driveability of the car. The extra bit of power was a nice by-product.

The car is painted in R500 crystalline white with painted red and blue stripes which make it unique and really quite striking in person.

2.0 Ford/Cosworth Duratec engine with dry sump producing a proven 271bhp. Carbon airbox with car is the 'open' version allowing better airflow

Quaife 60G 6 speed sequential gearbox

Ford differential with 3.6CWP and Tracsport LSD (very little use since fitment)

Black pack with heated windscreen

Aero wishbones

R500 Bilstein dampers (freshly serviced by Bilstein). Car currently has CORE dampers fitted and we are open to discuss leaving these on

Carbon front wings, rear wings and nose cone

Carbon kevlar Tillett seats with driver and passenger harnesses. Seat pads fitted for most of the cars life so seats are in excellent condition

Currently fitted with Raceco silencer which will be removed. The standard exhaust with cat will be polished before refitting. We are open to supplying the car with both exhaust options

This car needs to be seen to be appreciated. It is a fine example of the rare R500 sequential has been maintained with ourselves and Gemzoe Motorsport with no regard to cost. The registration, R500TNT, will stay with the car.

The car is due a service and will be given a full and thorough service by us including all fluids. The car will be supplied to the new owner with 3 months warranty and 12 months MOT.
