2007 VOLVO S40

Just arrived in part exchange from one of our long standing customers. We have maintained the car over the last little while, and know it to be a be a very reliable family vehicle / workhorse. The vehicle is being sold as a part exchange to clear with 3 months mechanical & electrical, parts & labour warranty and an inspection. This 2007 Volvo S40 has the 2.0 petrol 147 BHP engine, most examples are diesel so this a fairly rare car. The 2.0 naturally aspirated engine is also found in the Focus and Mazda MX5, it has a timing chain (so no Cambelt to change) and they really are bomb proof from a reliability standpoint. This being the SE variant, it is incredibly well equipped with full leather upholstery, electric drivers seat with 3 memory settings, heated seats, premium high performance sound system, all round electric windows & mirrors, remote central locking, climate control, cruise control, multiple airbags & safety features, ISOFIX and much more! This car also benefits from a PARROT Bluetooth Phone Kit with steering wheel mounted controller. Everything is working as it should, we have just serviced the air conditioning and it is ice cold. We have also fitted a new alternator. We MOTd and serviced the car in January this year, on 122,223 miles (only 6,213 miles ago). The car drives beautifully and has plenty of power, no smoke or horrible noises. The clutch has a decent biting point and no slipping. The steering wheel sits centrally with no wobbling or juddering under breaking. It is all very good indeed and lovely car to drive. Cosmetically, the car does have a few dents in the tailgate and a few touch ins around the bodywork, as you would expect with this age and mileage. The interior is spotlessly clean with no rips or tears, or unsightly stains. The aluminium floating dashboard section has a few dings in it, but nothing untoward and a lovely place to be. The service book has 12 entries in it, 8 of which are Volvo main dealer services. Service stamps at 3K, 10.9K, 14.4K, 20.8K, 26.2K, 29.3K, 38.6K, 46K, 64K, 81K, 102K and 122.2K. The Waterpump was replaced in October 2017, to support the lifetime chain driven engine. Supplied with MOT until January 2026 (2 advisories only, one for a crack in the wing mirror glass and one for a registration bulb), HPI clear certificate, owners manual & stamped service book, 3 months warranty, spare wheel and toolkit.
