Description
Originally delivered via Maranello Concessionaires in Amaranto Bull Lea with beige Connolly hide, this matching-numbers 365 GT 2+2 was collected from the Ferrari factory in January 1970 and later exported to South Africa by its first owner.
Rediscovered in 1986 when it underwent a comprehensive restoration by Kevin O'Rourke (Moto Technique), including new panels, full repaint in Blu Scuro, and a retrim in original-spec beige leather and Wilton carpets. Shown at the 1988 Ferrari Owners’ Club Concours, it placed 2nd in class, and has a colourful history—including a countryside escape from a disgruntled farmer during a magazine photoshoot!
Later sold by Talacrest to long-term UK collectors, the car has been maintained by top specialists including SMDG, with a full engine overhaul completed in 2017 at 80,000 miles.
One of just 52 UK-imported examples—only 25 known survivors.
