CITROEN DS21 SALOON

The Citroen DS was launched in October 1955 at the Paris Motor Show. It was an instant success with 12,000 orders being taken on the first day. It was the first mass-production car with front power disc brakes. It also featured independent hydropneumatic suspension including an automatic self-levelling system and variable ground clearance and power steering.
The DS21 was introduced 1965 and was powered by a 2175cc engine which produced 141 bhp propelling the car to top speed of 108mph. The DS further cemented its capabilities by winning the gruelling 1974 London-Sahara-Munich Rally where it won over 70 other cars with its ability to sustain high speeds over poor surfaces. It was also named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic & Sports Car magazine after a poll of 20 world-renowned car designers.
The Citroen DS21 offered here at Autostorico was manufactured in 1969 and is finished in Bronze metallic with Beige stripped interior trim. This example was sourced for a Citroen enthusiast in 2021 from France who had been searching for an original car with little corrosion. Having been used sparingly this lovely example is showing an indicated 64,746 kilometres and has been maintained by Citroen specialist.
This is a perfect opportunity to own a very sought-after Citroen DS21 that is a joy to drive and will only appreciate over time.
Viewing strictly by appointment only.
