Originally manufactured in 1967 and first registered in December of that year, this UK-delivered, right-hand drive Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 Roadster - chassis no. 1E1916 - presents in Midnight Blue with Black leather trim and wears the highly desirable registration '6 BLU', included in the sale. This E-Type has been in long-term family ownership since 1980, with just three registered keepers in total, two from the same household. Between 2006 and 2008, the car was subject to a comprehensive restoration carried out by AWS Engineering of Chipping Norton, documented through extensive invoices present in the history file. The restoration included: Full bare-metal body respray Complete mechanical overhaul, including engine and cylinder head rebuild Partial interior trim refit and reassembly Rewiring and electrical rectification Suspension and braking system rebuild New clutch, exhaust, fuel system, and ancillaries Detailed labour logs and parts invoices confirm the depth and quality of the work carried out during this period, culminating in the car's return to the road in early 2008.
