Introduced towards the end of the Mk1 GTi’s production and only available with three-door 'hatch' bodywork, around 1,000 Campaign Edition models were produced for the UK

They featured a factory-installed sliding sun roof, green-tinted glass all round, matt black A-pillars, a four-light front grille with inner fog lights and 14" Pirelli alloy wheels

Powered by a naturally aspirated, 112bhp, 1.8-litre inline-four with a 5-speed manual transmission

Acquired by our vendor's father in 1993, we understand that the car has remained in the garage into which it was driven around 20 years ago
