1994 TVR CHIMAERA

1994 TVR Chimaera · Convertible · Driven 95,000 kilometres

Reluctantly decided to sell my Chimaera as recently bought a T350 and cant really justify having both.

Key points below but message me if interested and I’ll send detailed description.

4.0 v8 (T5 gearbox) running MBE ECU from Powers Performance including new wiring loom and all management sensors. Dizzy, stepper motor, air mass meter, coil etc which cause trouble are now all gone. This car has done around 10k miles including a 3000 mile European trip without missing a beat. Runs perfectly smooth, no rattles, taps, knocks or smoke.

Outriggers fully replaced by TrackvRoad in November 2024.

DCE motorsport adjustable electric power steering.

New GAZ Gold shocks, wishbones replaced or re-coated. All bushes including different mounts replaced with poly. All ball joints/track rods/drop links etc replaced.

Driveshafts refurbished with new CV’s and boots. Rear wheel bearings also done.

Refurbished front callipers upgraded to later 260mm.

New clutch master cylinder.

New engine mounts and exhaust manifold gaskets.

Rocker cover gaskets replaced.

Wheels refurbished and Toyo Proxes all round.

New carpets and entire car lined with Dodomat sound proofing/heat insulation so doesn’t try to cook your legs.

MOT until Nov but can put a fresh one on before sale.

Open to sensible offers but please appreciate the work done (and of course the cost) which makes this a very good reliable car. Most still run original engine management and regularly have issues. Any inspection welcome.
