AUDI 100 COUPE S

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 on Sunday the 24th of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

The 100 Coupé S added a much-needed shot of glamour into the range in the early 1970s and was designed to be a 'halo' model for the 100 saloons that Audi were trying hard to establish in the UK

They were based on the 1968-78, C1 platform and offered very attractive 'fastback' bodywork, rear wheel drive, and front disc brakes

Powered by a 1,871cc, twin carburettor, four-cylinder producing 115bhp, revised in 1972 to a single carburettor and 112bhp

Evidenced by the original 'buff' logbook, this example was supplied new to a Mr McGuinness of County Carlowe and remained in his ownership until passing to Mr McKeon of Co Leitrim in 2000, almost 30 years later

It appears to have benefited from a fresh coat of Kazan Red a few years ago, areas of which will now need to be addressed

Supplied with a number of Irish Tax Discs and insurance discs attesting to its regular use up until 2024

Acquired by our vendor from a friend, it has remained registered in Ireland, as he regularly uses the car between the UK and other property in Europe
